1. Roomba j7+ iRobot from iRobot.
The Roomba J7+, iRobot's most advanced robot to date is the Roomba J7+. Its greatest advancement is an obstacle detection system that utilizes built-in AI to recognize objects like charging cords, shoes, and the dreaded pet waste that the majority of other robots cannot avoid (and often go through). It's also the first robot to automatically send you a picture of the object it comes across so that you can tell it to stay clear of it in the future.
The Combo j7+ is also the best robot to mop we've ever tested, removing dirt and spills with ease while leaving no trace it was there. The iRobot application makes it simple to control. You can schedule cleanings, and also create Keep Out Zones to ensure it doesn't clean in areas you don't wish to. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start and stop it by voice.
The design is also more appealing than the other models. It has a sleek, top piece that looks like toys rather than a loud and obnoxious robot. And the Clean Base Automated Dirt Disposal System is self-emptying, which is great to speed up cleaning.
In our tests, we discovered that the j7+ quickly eliminated dirt, dust and hair from pets. The counter-rotating rubber brushes kept the debris in one place rather than sending it scattering across the floor. It even was able to catch small gravel and sand which other robots aren't able to do. It did all without getting caught up in our pet's hair.
Although it's not as efficient as the $1,217 Roomba s9+ Auto-Emptying Vacuum, which isn't able to clean stairs, the J7+ is an excellent option for those who require both mopping and a vacuum in their home. It's not expensive, and the iRobot app makes it very user-friendly.
The iRobot Home App is easy to use but we found it less reliable as other robotic cleaner apps. It can take some time to download updates, and often it's hard to determine whether the update is functioning until you've seen it in the action.
2. Roborock Q5+
If you're looking for a robotic vacuum cleaner that can do more than simply clean your floors, a hybrid is the best option. This category of bots typically has a built-in water tank that allows them to vacuum and mop your house simultaneously. They also come with a variety of additional features, including smart mapping, small obstacles avoidance and even the ability to wash and dry mopping pads. They're costly at retail, but they often come down in price on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.
Roborock has some of our favorite robot vacuums and the Q5+ is no exception. It's their cheapest auto-empty model. While it doesn't have some of the features that are found on more expensive models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's still a great option if you're willing compromise a bit in order to save a few hundred dollars.
The Q5+ is exceptionally soft when it comes to obstacles like table legs and walls. This makes it an excellent choice for homes that have lots of furniture. It's also very thorough in cleaning dust bunnies, which is a place where cheaper robot vacuums fall short. The technology used to navigate in the Q5+ is fantastic and has very few misses in corners and along walls.
The Q5+, like other Roborock products can be controlled with only a few buttons on your device, or via the Roborock App. The app allows you to start and stop cleaning. You can also set up schedules, create virtual barriers and no-go areas and alter your home map, or re-label rooms.
If you choose the Q5+ it includes a new auto-emptying dock, designed to make this robot easier to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver however, once it's in place it can be done with relative ease. It comes with a huge LCD screen which is helpful for setting up schedules or changing settings. This isn't an essential feature for everyone, but it's one that can help you keep the track of your robot's maintenance intervals with ease.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a clever, well-rounded vacuum and mop. It's capable of both vacuuming and mopping. Its design is among the best in the industry however it's quite expensive.
The base station is attractive and is easily hidden when not in use, and its dimensions are quite small. The station's main selling point is that it can automate many tasks, functions, and chores that other robots would leave to you. It stores clean and dirty water, electrolyzes and heats the water (which the majority of other robots require you to do) also emptying the dustbin after vacuuming, and helps keep your robot charged and clean.

However, the Freo X Ultra has its shortcomings, particularly in terms of navigation. Its LiDAR and laser sensors aren't as reliable as some other robovacs, meaning it sometimes gets stuck or confused in certain areas of the house. It's also unable to climb stairs like other models and isn't equipped with a dock to create a cleaning area for carpets with plush padding.
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is an excellent choice for those who want an automated vacuum that can do it all.
If you're looking for a way to save money or aren't averse to the limitations of the robot, there are many other options on the market. Many eufy models cost significantly less. The eufy Qrevo Curv, for example, is cheaper and offers an identical experience on the app with more features like stairs, a fully-function dock, and better overall performance when vacuuming floors as well as high and low-pile carpets.

Eufy, an Anker company, has a track record of producing robot vacuums that strike a good balance between features, performance and price. When it's time to recharge, it automatically returns to its starting point and begins cleaning from where it left off.
The eufy G30 has some flaws. The iRobot Roomba 675 is better constructed, has lower recurring costs, charges faster and has a similar battery life while offering superior performance on floors that are unfinished and carpets with a low pile. It has a bigger dust bin, which doesn't require the same amount of emptying. It also comes with boundaries that prevent it from certain areas. The G30 is, on the other hand, is more affordable and is much simpler to maintain. Its smaller dust container doesn't need emptying as often and it has less trouble with heavy materials such as cereal.
